The VIN is 3132095614. This means it is a Fastback (31), 1973 model (3), Mark 2 (2), 095614 in the production run for that year.
The production plate says 18-5-3237. This means it was build in the 18th week of the 1973, on a Friday. That works out as Friday 4th May, 1973.
The car was delivered in June 1973, to "Black and White Garages", Harvington, near Evesham, Worcestershire.
We bought the car in June, 2001. It had spent its last 6 years less than 1 mile away from us, and we didn't even know! We just happened to see a postcard advert for it in the local supermarket. A couple of weeks later it would have been in Volksworld Magazine and then gone for ever. Before that it had 5 other owners.
